Delaware State Police: Carjacking at Wilmington Detox Center

WILMINGTON, DE — The Delaware State Police are investigating a carjacking that occurred at a detox center in the Wilmington area Tuesday afternoon.

According to the criminal complaint, the incident occurred at approximately 2:50 p.m., March 28, 2023, when troopers responded to the NET Centers, Kirkwood Recovery Center located at 3315 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington for the report of a carjacking. Upon arrival, it was determined a 66-year-old female victim who had just pulled into the parking lot, was approached by a female suspect who asked to use her phone. The female suspect then began to assault the victim and a physical altercation ensued over control of the vehicle. Ultimately, the suspect was able to gain control of the vehicle and drove off. The victim who was hanging onto the vehicle was thrown to the ground. The victim sustained injuries to the head and both upper and lower extremities but refused medical treatment at the scene.

Through investigative means, troopers were able to locate the stolen vehicle in the city of Wilmington. With the assistance of the Wilmington Police Department, a traffic stop was initiated but the suspect fled. Troopers pursued the vehicle onto northbound Interstate 95 and into Pennsylvania. Across the state line, the Pennsylvania State Police took primary control of the pursuit. The Pennsylvania State Police utilized their patrol vehicles to disable the suspect vehicle. The suspect identified as Nicole Mulski, 30, of Philadelphia, PA was taken into custody. Following Mulski facing charges in Pennsylvania, she will be extradited back to Delaware where she will be charged with Robbery 1st Degree (Felony) and Disregarding a Police Officer Signal (Felony).

The Delaware State Police Troop 2 Robbery Unit is currently investigating the incident. Detectives are asking anyone with information regarding this case to contact Detective D.
