Crack, Marijuana, and MDMA Seized in Wilmington Raid

WILMINGTON, DE — Wilmington Police announced the arrest of 30-year-old Tashay Wilmore and 26-year-old Alaya Jone on drug charges following an investigation.

Authorities stated that on March 2, at approximately 11:32 a.m., members of Wilmington’s  Drug, Organized Crime, and Vice Division along with members of the Canine Unit, and Safe Streets Task Force executed a search warrant in the 300 block of West 7th Street, in reference to a drug investigation. Police reportedly recovered 4.6 grams of crack cocaine, 38.9 grams of marijuana, and 1 MDMA pill.

Officers took 30-year-old Tashay Wilmore and 26-year-old Alaya Jones into custody without incident.

Tashay Wilmore has been charged with the following offenses:

  • Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver
  • Conspiracy (Second Degree)
  • Possession of Marijuana
  • Endangering the Welfare of a Child – Two Counts
  • Possession of a Controlled Substance
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

She was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and committed to the Delores J. Baylor Correctional Institution on $15,100 cash-only bail.

Alaya Jones has been charged with the following offenses:

  • Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver
  • Conspiracy (Second Degree)
  • Possession of Marijuana
  • Endangering the Welfare of a Child – Two Counts
  • Possession of a Controlled Substance
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

She was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and released after posting $14,500 unsecured bail.
