Core Borings Planned Next Week on U.S. 1 in Bucks County

BUCKS COUNTY, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced that core boring operations will take place next week on U.S. 1 as part of advance engineering activities for upcoming improvements to U.S. 1 in Middletown Township and Langhorne and Langhorne Manor boroughs, Bucks County.

The following travel restrictions are scheduled:

  • Sunday, December 18, through Thursday, December 22, from 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning, alternating lane closures will be in place in both directions on U.S. 1 between Old Lincoln Highway and Parkvale Avenue; and
  • Monday, December 19, through Thursday, December 22, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, alternating lane closures will be in place in both directions on U.S. 1 between Old Lincoln Highway and Parkvale Avenue.

Drivers are being advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
