Construction Begins Next Week on Walnut Street in Center City Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced that ARD 1105 Walnut LLC will begin performing construction operations next week on Walnut Street in Center City Philadelphia.

The work schedule and location are:

  • Monday, January 23, through Tuesday, December 31, 2024, a 24/7 lane closure is scheduled westbound on Walnut Street between 10th Street and 12th Street.

Motorists are be advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

ARD 1105 Walnut LLC will complete this project under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.

Loftus Construction, Inc. of Cinnaminson, NJ, is the general contractor on the $815,000 bridge rehabilitation project, which is financed with 100% state funds.
