Closure of Five-Points Intersection for Sign Removal

MONTGOMERY TWP, PA — Commuters should prepare for significant changes as the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announces the closure of the Five-Points Intersection in Montgomery Township. Scheduled for removal is a large overhead sign structure at the junction of Route 309 (Bethlehem Pike), Route 463 (Horsham Road/Cowpath Road), and Business U.S. 202 (Doylestown Road).

The closure will begin Sunday, August 25, from 11:00 PM and continue until 5:00 AM the next day. During this period, motorists will need to navigate through designated detour routes. Southbound Route 309 will redirect through Broad Street and Main Street/Welsh Road. Northbound Route 309 will utilize the U.S. 202 Bypass and County Line Road. Detours for Horsham Road and Cowpath Road will also follow similar paths.

Motorists are advised to anticipate delays and plan accordingly. The project is weather dependent, and drivers should remain informed of any changes.
