NEWARK, DE — Delaware State Police announced the arrest of 44- year-old Natasha Bouges of Felton, Delaware, for a shoplifting incident that occurred on Saturday evening.

The criminal complaint alleges that on May 20, 2023, at approximately 7:57 p.m., a trooper was dispatched to Target at 800 Christiana Mall in Newark. The investigation revealed that two unknown female suspects were observed filling up a cart with merchandise inside Target. The white female suspect exited the store’s front doors and was observed to have been scanning the parking lot. A short time later, the black female suspect, later identified as Natasha Bouges, pushed the cart full of stolen items past the cash register and attempted to exit the store. A store employee attempted to stop Bouges at the door, but she ran outside and was quickly apprehended by mall security. The unknown white female suspect fled the area in an unknown direction.

Bouges was turned over to the trooper, and a search incident to arrest revealed additional stolen items in her pocket. The merchandise, valued at over $2300, was returned to the store. Bouges was charged with the following offenses:

  • Shoplifting Over $1500 (Felony)
  • Conspiracy Second Degree (Felony)

Bouges was arraigned by the Justice of the Peace Court # 11 and committed to the Delores J. Baylor Women’s Correctional Institution on a $4000 secured bond.
