Cash and Drugs Seized During Arrest in Wilmington

WILMINGTON, DEWilmington Police have arrested two men on drug charges.

Authorities state that on May 4 at approximately 12:08 p.m., members of Wilmington’s Drug, Organized Crime, and Vice Division were in the 300 block of West 7th Street when they observed 21-year-old Shamar Foster and 23-year-old Darren Foster engaged in drug activity. Police made contact with both subjects, and following a brief investigation, recovered .9 grams of methamphetamine, 23 grams of marijuana, 1 Alprazolam pill, and $522 in currency. Both subjects were taken into custody without incident.

Shamar Foster was charged with the following offenses:

  • Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver
  • Possession of a Controlled Substance

He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $10,000 cash-only bail.

Darren Foster was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver.

He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $5,000 cash-only bail.
