Can You Help Philadelphia Police ID Sexual Assault Suspect?

PHILADELPHIA, PA — The Special Victims Unit of the Philadelphia Police Department is seeking help to identify a male suspect shown in a video related to a sexual assault that occurred on May 2, 2023, around 1:50 am near the 3800 block of Chestnut Street.

The suspect is described as a Black male, between 20 to 30 years old, approximately 6 feet in height, with short hair. He was seen wearing a dark hooded Polo zip-up jacket, blue denim jeans with white stitch work on the inseam, and peach-colored sneakers.

The suspect carried a knife, which was later found at the scene. Regardless, he is considered dangerous and should not be approached. Please call 911 immediately if you spot him.
