Broad Street Resurfacing: Expect Traffic Delays Next Week

PHILADELPHIA, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has announced a resurfacing project on Broad Street (Route 611) in Philadelphia.

Starting Monday, September 9, through Friday, September 13, alternating lane closures will occur from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM for preparation work. Paving operations are scheduled for Thursday, September 12, and Friday, September 13, from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM. The work spans from Penn Square to Oregon Avenue.

Motorists should expect delays and allow extra travel time. This project aims to enhance road safety and provide a smoother driving surface. All work is dependent on weather conditions.
