Bridge Inspections to Slow Traffic on Philadelphia Highways

PHILADELPHIA, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has announced scheduled bridge inspections on several key highways in Philadelphia. These inspections will take place on Interstate 95, Interstate 76, and other major routes, potentially affecting traffic flow.

On Tuesday, September 10, a right lane closure will occur from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM on northbound U.S. 1 (Roosevelt Expressway) at the I-76 West Interchange. Later that day, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM, a southbound lane on Walnut Lane between Park Lane and Magdalena Street will also be closed.

Wednesday, September 11, will see a left lane closure from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM on northbound I-95, between the I-76 West/Valley Forge and 611 North (Broad Street) interchanges. On Thursday, September 12, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a right lane on westbound I-76 at the I-676 Interchange will be closed.

Motorists are urged to plan for extra travel time due to anticipated slowdowns in these areas. All activities are subject to weather conditions.
