PHILADELPHIA, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced that regional bridge repairs will continue next week on the Girard Point Bridge and Interstate 95 in Philadelphia and Delaware County.
The work schedules and locations are:
- Monday, January 30, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 AM, lane closures are scheduled on the southbound deck on the I-95 Girard Point Bridge between Broad Street (Route 611) and Penrose Avenue (Route 291) in Philadelphia for bridge repair;
- Monday, January 30, through Thursday, February 2, a single lane closure will be in place from 7:00 PM to 6:00 AM, followed by a double lane closure from 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM on sections of northbound I-95 between the U.S. 322 (Exit 4) and Philadelphia International Airport (Exit 12) interchanges in Delaware County for guiderail repair; and
- Tuesday, January 31, through Friday, February 3, from 7:30 PM to 5:30 AM the following morning, lane closures are scheduled on the ramps to-and-from northbound and southbound I-95 to I-476 in Delaware County for removal of traffic control materials.
Drivers are being advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
