READING, PA — The County of Berks announced that Berks Heim Nursing and Rehabilitation has been recognized by Newsweek in its ranking of America’s Best Nursing Homes 2022 as one of the top facilities in Pennsylvania.
Newsweek partnered with Stastia, a respected global data research firm, to create the annual ranking to help families select the right nursing home for their loved ones. Newsweek says the rankings are based on three critical criteria: overall performance data, peer recommendations and each facility’s handling of COVID-19, relative to the in-state competition.
Berks Heim, a County-owned skilled nursing facility in Bern Township, was ranked #10 in the list of Best Nursing Homes in Pennsylvania. The full list can be found here.
“We are incredibly proud of this recognition and thankful for the opportunity to provide outstanding care to the residents at Berks Heim,” Administrator Christie Kennedy said. “At Berks Heim, we follow an individualized approach to healthcare and all staff are dedicated to providing for the social, emotional, and physical well-being of our residents. This is a true testament to our caring and committed staff. We are grateful to our amazing staff and volunteers that continue to shine though our tradition of caring.”
