MONTGOMERY COUNTY, PA — Beam placement is scheduled on a Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) project to replace the Warminster Road bridge over Pennypack Creek in Upper Moreland Township and Hatboro Borough, Montgomery County.
On Monday, October 2, from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure with flagging is scheduled on Warminster Road between Mill Road and Lancaster Place.
Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work area because backups and delays will occur. The schedule is weather dependent.
PennDOT’s contract involves replacing a 136-year-old concrete encased steel beam structure with a wider and safer prestressed concrete box beam bridge. Other improvements include a sidewalk for pedestrians, new signaling, markings, and resurfacing.
Allen Myers, LP of Worcester, PA is the general contractor on the $3,830,278 project, which is financed with 100 percent state funds.
