Beam Placement Scheduled October 12 on Warminster Road Bridge over Pennypack Creek in Montgomery County

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, PA — TBeam placement is scheduled on a Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) project to replace the Warminster Road bridge over Pennypack Creek in Upper Moreland Township and Hatboro Borough, Montgomery County.

On Thursday, October 12, from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure with flagging is scheduled on Warminster Road between Mill Road and Lancaster Place.

Drivers are being advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work area because backups and delays will occur. The schedule is weather dependent.

PennDOT’s contractor will replace an old bridge with a wider and safer prestressed concrete box beam structure. The project also includes a sidewalk, new signs, markings, guiderail, and a pedestrian signal. Roadways will be resurfaced for overall improvement.

Allen Myers, LP of Worcester, PA is the general contractor on the $3.8 million project, which is financed with 100 percent state funds.
