DOYLESTOWN, PA — Christmas may have passed, but a small miracle occurred just in time for the New Year in Buckingham Township. A figure of Baby Jesus, stolen from the Nativity Scene at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, has been recovered and returned to its rightful place.

The Buckingham Township Police Department reported that in the early morning hours of December 22, 2023, the figure was taken from the church located on Cold Spring Creamery Road in Doylestown. The theft left the Nativity Scene incomplete during the height of the Christmas season, a time when the tableau holds profound significance for many parishioners.

However, thanks to the dedicated work of the department’s detective division, the Baby Jesus figure was recovered on Tuesday, January 2, 2024. The detectives promptly returned the figure to the staff at Our Lady of Guadalupe, restoring the Nativity Scene to its full representation.

As of yet, no information has been released regarding any suspects or arrests connected to the alleged theft. It is important to remember that any potential suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
