WILMINGTON, DE — A local man has been arrested in connection to a burglary incident, say Wilmington Police.

Jalil Jennings, 32, has been charged with Burglary (Third Degree) and related offenses.

The criminal complaint alleges that on August 24, at approximately 6:30 a.m., members of the Uniformed Services Division responded to the 300 block of West 9th Street, in reference to a burglary. Following an investigation, police identified 32-year-old Jalil Jennings as a suspect and obtained warrants for his arrest. A short time later, police observed Jennings in the 700 block of North West Street, and took him into custody without incident.

He was arraigned in the New Castle County Court of Common Pleas and was committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $3,000 unsecured bail.

Information, a criminal complaint, or an arrest is not a declaration of guilt. A suspect, arrestee, or defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
