Aqua Pennsylvania Utility Improvements Scheduled on Several State Highways in Delaware, Montgomery Counties

GREATER PHILADELPHIA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced that Aqua Pennsylvania will be performing utility construction on several state highways in Delaware and Montgomery counties.

The work schedules and locations are:

Delaware County

  • Wednesday, September 6, through Friday, December 1, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Beatty Road will be closed and detoured between Baltimore Pike and Woodridge Lane in Nether Providence Township. During the closure, motorists will be directed to use Route 320 (Sproul Road), Old Marple Road/State Road, Route 252 (Providence Road), and Baltimore Pike. Local access will be maintained up to the work zone.

Montgomery County

  • Wednesday, August 30, through Thursday, November 30, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a weekday lane closure is scheduled in both directions on Route 63 (Moreland Road) between Fitzwatertown Road and Dallas Road in Abington and Upper Moreland townships.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through or near the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
