PHILADELPHIA, PA — It was just after midnight on Saturday when the Philadelphia Police Department received a call about a “person with a gun” on the 1900 block of N. 19th Street.
When officers arrived on the scene, they found an unresponsive 26-year-old male victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene by Medic #13. A loaded firearm was recovered at the scene.
The suspect in the homicide has been identified as Marcus Whitehead, a black male who is 22 years of age. His last known address is on the 5500 block of Miriam Road. If you see this suspect, do not approach him, but instead contact 911 immediately.
