$20,000 Reward Offered in Philadelphia Homicide

PHILADELPHIA, PA — The Philadelphia Police Department recently announced a $20,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect in a recent N. 35th Street fatal shooting.

Philadelphia’s Homicide Unit stated that are looking to identify the individual, depicted in released surveillance video excerpts, from the homicide shooting of a 23-year-old male, that occurred on Thursday, September 22nd, 2022, at about 12:30 AM, in the 400 block of N. 35th Street.

The suspect is observed walking in the opposite direction as the victim. After passing the victim, the suspect immediately turns and fires several gunshots at the back of the victim’s head from very close distance. The suspect is last observed running northbound on 35th Street after crossing Spring Garden Street.

The suspect is described as a Black male, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with a full-length front zipper and two front pockets and black pants. He was wearing a light-colored covid style mask that was covering his chin and mouth.
