19-Year-Old Arrested on Firearm Charges Following Traffic Stop

LANCASTER, PA — The Manheim Township Police Department recently announced that a 19-year-old man was arrested on firearm charges.

Authorities stated that on February 17, 2023, Brandon Daevon Graves was pulled over for expired inspection and emissions stickers when officers noticed he was reportedly making furtive movements. Upon further investigation, it was determined that the stickers were fraudulent. The vehicle was towed and a search warrant was obtained. The search yielded suspected marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and a handgun.

Felid tests reportedly showed the presence of THC which confirmed the authorities’ suspicions. Additionally, due to his age, Graves was ineligible to bear firearms without a license. As such, a criminal complaint was issued against him and an arrest warrant was obtained. He was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana with intent to sell and various associated charges. On Thursday, February 23, 2023, he was arraigned in court and granted $50,000 unsecured bail to await his next hearing.

Information, a criminal complaint, or an arrest is not a declaration of guilt. A suspect, arrestee, or defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
