18-Year-Old Arrested on Gun Charges After Wilmington Street Fight

WILMINGTON, DE — Wilmington Police announced the arrest of an 18-year-old man on gun charges.

Tahir Corbin has been charged with Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon and Resisting Arrest.

The criminal complaint alleges that on May 25, at approximately 7:39 p.m., members of the Uniformed Services Division responded to the 400 block of West 34th Street in reference to a large fight. Officers attempted to make contact with a subject, who fled on foot. Following a brief foot pursuit, 18-year-old Tahir Corbin was taken into custody without incident. Corbin was found to be in possession of a loaded 9mm handgun.

He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and was released on $3,500 unsecured bail.
