17-Year-Old Arrested with Loaded Gun and Drugs in Wilmington

WILMINGTON, DE — Wilmington Police announced the arrest of a 17-year-old male on gun and drug charges.

The juvenile has been charged with three (3) counts of Possession of a Firearm or Ammunition by a Person Prohibited, Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon, and Possession of a Controlled Substance.

The criminal complaint alleges that on May 30, at approximately 1: 23 p.m., members of the Drug, Organized Crime, and Vice Division were in the 700 block of West 7th Street, when they observed a juvenile male acting in a suspicious manner. Officers made contact with a 17-year-old juvenile male, who was found to be in possession of a loaded 9mm handgun, 6 grams of crack cocaine, 10 grams of marijuana, and $365. He was taken into custody without incident.

He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and was committed to the New Castle County Detention Center on $52,000 cash-only bail.
