14-Year-Old Arrested with Loaded Gun and Marijuana in Wilmington

WILMINGTON, DE — Wilmington Police announced the arrest of a juvenile male on gun charges.

The criminal complaint alleges that on  April 19, at approximately 8:04 p.m., members of Wilmington’s Uniformed Services Division were on patrol in the 900 block of N. Church Street, when they observed a group of subjects loitering. Officers made contact with a 14-year-old male juvenile, who was found to be in possession of a loaded 9mm handgun, and 19 grams of marijuana. The juvenile male was taken into custody without incident.

The 14-year-old male juvenile was charged with the following offenses:

  • Possession of a Firearm by a Person Prohibited
  • Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon
  • Possession of Marijuana

He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and was committed to the New Castle County Detention Center on $6,100 secured bail.
