SCRANTON, PA — Jay Holloway, a 36-year-old resident of Bradford County, Pennsylvania, was indicted on charges of child pornography on Friday, according to United States Attorney Gerard M. Karam.

The indictment alleges that Holloway was involved in the distribution, receipt, and possession of child pornography from August 2021 to May 17, 2023. The images and videos allegedly contain minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct, with some reportedly depicting the sexual abuse of infants and toddlers.

The Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General’s Child Predator Section led the investigation into the case. Assistant United States Attorney Tatum R. Wilson is set to prosecute.

If found guilty, Holloway could face a maximum penalty under federal law of 20 years, including a mandatory sentence of 5 years. Additionally, he may be subjected to a term of supervised release following imprisonment and a fine. A sentence is determined by the judge after considering the federal sentencing statutes and the Federal Sentencing Guidelines.

It’s crucial to remember that indictments and criminal informations are merely allegations. All individuals charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
