JOHNSTOWN, PA — A former resident of Coalport, Pennsylvania, has been sentenced to 87 months in federal prison, followed by four years of supervised release for possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine.

Senior United States District Judge Kim R. Gibson imposed the sentence on Jacob Troxell, 33, on November 29, 2023.

The court was presented with evidence that on or about July 22, 2019, Troxell had in his possession 50 grams or more of a mixture and substance containing a detectable amount of methamphetamine, with the intention of distributing it.

Assistant United States Attorney Arnold P. Bernard, Jr. prosecuted the case on behalf of the government.

The successful prosecution of Troxell was the result of an investigation conducted by the Drug Enforcement Administration and the Pennsylvania State Police.
