Federal Court Sentences Pennsylvania Resident for Firearms and Narcotics Violations

PITTSBURGH, PA — Dajunatae Alston, age 25, formerly of the East Liberty section of Pittsburgh, has been sentenced in federal court to 30 months in prison and three years of supervised release for violating federal firearms and narcotics laws.

Acting United States Attorney, Troy Rivetti, made the announcement with United States District Judge William S. Stickman IV delivering the sentence on May 3, 2023.

As per the court’s records, on April 22, 2020, it was discovered that Alston had 50 grams of marijuana with the intent to distribute, all while in possession of a firearm in a school zone.

Prosecutor Carl J. Spindler represented the government in this case. Acting United States Attorney Rivetti applauded the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and the Pittsburgh Bureau of Police for their investigation leading to Alston’s conviction.
