HARRISBURG, PA — State Rep. Carolyn Comitta, D-Chester, was elected vice-chair of the Joint Legislative Conservation Committee on Tuesday, Sept. 24. This committee examines environmental and conservation issues throughout the commonwealth.
“Since the committee’s inception 50 years ago, it has accomplished so much in regard to helping legislators, stakeholders and state agencies work to curtail environmental pollution throughout our state and to protect our vast wildlife and resources,” Comitta said. “This week, I was honored to be elected vice-chair of the committee. I am eager to work in this new capacity and ensure that we continue to be environmental stewards in our communities and fight to guarantee basic rights for Pennsylvanians such as clean air and water.”
