PITTSBURGH, PA — Danielle Gillam, 44, a resident of Blandburg, Pennsylvania, has been sentenced to 25 months of imprisonment, followed by two years of supervised release, on her conviction for alleged violations of federal narcotics laws. The announcement was made by United States Attorney Eric G. Olshan on Wednesday, December 27, 2023.

United States District Judge Christy Criswell Wiegand imposed the sentence following a nine-month Title III wiretap investigation into suspected drug trafficking in and around Jefferson, Clearfield, and Allegheny counties.

According to details presented in court, Gillam was allegedly a narcotics distributor who obtained between 500 grams and 1.5 kilograms of methamphetamine from Derek Hillebrand, the purported leader of the drug trafficking organization. Gillam then reportedly redistributed the drugs.

Assistant United States Attorney Jonathan D. Lusty prosecuted the case on behalf of the government.

The successful prosecution of Gillam is credited to a collaborative effort among several law enforcement agencies, including the Drug Enforcement Administration, Homeland Security Investigations, United States Postal Service – Office of Inspector General, United States Postal Inspection Service, Internal Revenue Services, Pittsburgh Bureau of Police, Allegheny County Police, and Pennsylvania State Police. Local assistance was provided by the Jefferson County District Attorney’s Office, Clearfield County District Attorney’s Office, and the Clarion Borough Police Department.
