PENNSYLVANIA — Do you love spending time outdoors on Pennsylvania’s amazing trails? Are you passionate about trail conservation and recreation? If so, the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR) is currently accepting letters of interest and resumes for two voluntary positions on the Pennsylvania Trails Advisory Committee.

Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources recently announced it is seeking to add “passionate, creative trail enthusiasts” to its Trails Advisory Committee, and is looking for two new members to volunteer for the role. According to Cindy Adams Dunn, the DCNR Secretary, the addition of the new members will help in “setting the course for [the state’s] trials system for years to come.”

Dunn explains that, in addition to being enjoyable places for recreation, trails also serve as key connectors between various Pennsylvania communities. As such, those chosen to fill the role of either Horseback Riding representative or Member at Large will have an important task ahead of them. Those interested have until October 31, 2022, to submit a letter of interest and resume to RA-explorepatrails@pa.gov. More information on what is required of applicants can be found on the Trails Advisory Committee website.
