Lancaster Resident Arrested on Drug Charges

LANCASTER, PA — The Manheim Township Police Department announced the arrest of a 32-year-old Lancaster resident on drug charges.

Authorities stated that William Lester Skethway was charged on February 26, 2023, with Possession With the Intent to Deliver and related offenses after a police response to a residence on the 1900 block of Oregon Pk to check for Skethway, who was reported to have warrants. Upon arrival, a witness advised police that Skethway was inside and gave officers permission to enter the home.

Manheim Township Police Officers entered and took Skethway into custody on the warrants. While in the residence, officers reportedly observed in plain view a baggie containing a white powdery substance and a line of white powdery substance on the table that was suspected to be cocaine, along with two clear plastic baggies containing a green leafy substance suspected to be marijuana and other drug items. Skethway was verbally advised of his Miranda rights and is said to have waived his right to counsel. He is reported to have admitted that the items on the table belonged only to him. The white powdery substance was field tested and found positive for cocaine. The green leafy substance was field tested and found positive for marijuana.

A criminal complaint has been filed. William Lester Skethawy was taken into custody and transported to Lancaster County Prison on his outstanding warrants through Lancaster City Police Department and Lancaster County Sheriff’s Department.
