March 4 COVID-19 Update: 103,728 Vaccinations to Date in Chester County

CHESTER COUNTY, PA — The Pennsylvania National Electronic Disease Surveillance System (PA-NEDSS) today confirmed 91 additional positive cases of COVID-19 in Chester County, bringing the countywide total to 30,969, which includes 4,141 cases defined as probable and 731 deaths. Of these, an estimated 28,181 patients can be considered recovered.* The remaining active cases are either in isolation at home or being treated at the hospital.

Through March 3, there have been 103,728 doses of the vaccine administered. Of which, there are 40,134 people who have received one dose (partially covered) and  31,797 people who have received two doses (fully covered). The math results in 103,728 doses administered to 71,931 people.

In long-term care facilities and personal care homes, there are 1,966 resident cases of COVID-19 and 698 cases among employees at 63 of 75 distinct facilities in Chester County. Out of the total deaths from COVID-19 in the county, 462 have occurred in residents from long-term care facilities or personal care facilities.

There have been a total of 180,029 Chester County residents who tested negative for the COVID-19 virus to date.

Health officials stress the role every person plays in helping to reduce the spread of COVID-19:

And yet, tens of thousands of Chester County residents already registered cannot get vaccinated and cannot even find out from the county where they are in the queue. You say you can’t tell us that information. Ok, then please explain how you are able to schedule 1A residents in the order that they signed up,yet you can’t identify my position in the queue. President Biden and Governor Wolf both talk about the importance of transparency in government. Seems that promise is already broken.
