HARRISBURG, PA — The House of Representatives in Pennsylvania yesterday approved H.B. 922, a bill proposed by State Rep. Melissa Shusterman to modernize the Second Stage Loan Program. The bill aims to provide support to businesses in the manufacturing and life sciences sectors, promoting job creation and sustainability across the state. The bill is currently awaiting approval by the Senate.

“Our world is constantly changing. This commonwealth has seen many businesses come and go over its history, and if we want be competitive and welcome the next wave of businesses here, we will need to modernize our resources for them,” Shusterman said. “By modernizing this program, we not only assist second stage manufacturers and similar businesses, but we also create more jobs for Pennsylvanians.

“I am proud to be a part of a legislature that wants to see our state economy flourish, our local businesses grow, and to see more sustainable jobs created and remain here in the Commonwealth,” Shusterman said.
