Lawmakers Take First-Person Look at Impact of COVID-19 on Businesses

PHOENIXVILLE, PA — At the top of the legislative agenda for PA House Democrats is helping Pennsylvanians stay safe and recover from the pandemic. That means prioritizing small, community businesses like those in Phoenixville, PA.

This week, the House Democratic Policy Committee will hold a hearing on COVID-19’s impact on downtown business districts. The event, called COVID’s Impact on Main Street, will be hosted by state Rep. Melissa Shusterman, D-Chester/Montgomery, at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 14 at 351 Bridge St., Phoenixville, PA 19460.
