Cantaloupe, Inc. and Canteen of Northern California Forge a Groundbreaking Partnership to Integrate Innovative Vending Technology

Cantaloupe

MALVERN, PA — Cantaloupe, Inc. (NASDAQ: CTLP), a leading provider of innovative vending and micro market technology, has successfully onboarded Canteen of Northern California (CNC). This partnership marks a major customer acquisition in the mid-market category for Cantaloupe, as CNC fully deploys Cantaloupe’s state-of-the-art technology and integrates its cutting-edge Seed software platform into its operations.

CNC, a well-established vending operator serving Sonoma, Napa, and Marin counties, boasts a rich history spanning over 50 years in the vending business. With a fleet of approximately 550-560 vending machines and 20 micro markets, CNC has taken the bold step of becoming the first Canteen franchise to fully adopt Cantaloupe’s solutions.

The comprehensive transition to Cantaloupe’s products and services, which commenced in October 2022, includes a complete shift to Cantaloupe’s G11 card readers, the implementation of the Seed Pro vending management system, and the replacement of previous micro market equipment with the Cantaloupe Go line of kiosks. CNC is also planning to incorporate Cantaloupe’s Cooler CaféTM in select locations to broaden its offerings to existing customers.

Shaun Dayton, operations manager of CNC, acknowledged the strategic shift was driven by a need for a tech partner capable of overcoming limitations faced with previous suppliers. “Working with Cantaloupe on innovative solutions to enhance our business efficiency has been a game-changer,” Dayton said.

The partnership underscores Cantaloupe’s commitment to supporting operators through transitions and growth. Jeff Dumbrell, Cantaloupe’s chief revenue officer, emphasized, “Our partnership with operator customers shapes the way we develop every single one of our products, especially Seed. It’s a revolutionary way for vending operators to see and know all areas of their business.”

CNC has already begun to reap the benefits of Seed, including significant cost savings and increased revenue. Dayton expressed his satisfaction with the results, stating, “Our cost savings have been so substantial that we’ve actually been able to use those savings to give our staff a raise. I’ve never worked with a program that is so robust and powerful, and the customer service from Cantaloupe has been phenomenal.”

The successful integration of Cantaloupe’s solutions into CNC’s operations demonstrates the company’s ongoing strategy to expand its mid-size operator base and cements its position as a technology and software leader in the vending industry.
