Saothair Capital Partners Closes $300 Million Fund II, More Than Doubling First Fund

Business News

WAYNE, PASaothair Capital Partners, LLC recently announced the final close of its second investment vehicle, Saothair Fund II, L.P., securing $300 million in capital commitments. The fund, which closed Thursday, significantly exceeds the firm’s inaugural $125 million Fund I and was completed in under two years.

The latest fund was oversubscribed, reflecting strong demand from institutional investors, including prominent university endowments, family offices, and outsourced chief investment officer platforms. The broad investor support underscores confidence in Saothair’s operationally focused and disciplined investment strategy.

Saothair Fund II will continue the firm’s targeted approach of acquiring control stakes in manufacturing companies undergoing transition or distress. The firm specializes in complex situations such as corporate carve-outs, bankruptcies, restructurings, and operational turnarounds.

“Fund II represents a significant step forward in our mission to be the partner of choice for manufacturing businesses facing unique challenges and inflection points,” said Kevin Madden, Co-Founder and Managing Partner. Madden expressed gratitude to both new and returning investors who support Saothair’s differentiated strategy.

Co-Founder and Operating Partner Richard Lozyniak emphasized the firm’s commitment to hands-on engagement and long-term value creation. “We are tremendously excited to continue partnering with management teams to unlock potential and drive growth through a culture of continuous improvement,” Lozyniak stated.

Pacenote Capital LLC served as exclusive placement agent for the fundraise, McGuireWoods LLP provided legal counsel, and IQ-EQ acted as fund administrator.

The successful close of Fund II positions Saothair to expand its footprint in the manufacturing sector, offering strategic support and capital to businesses navigating operational complexity and transformation.
