EXTON, PA — West Pharmaceutical Services, Inc. (NYSE: WST) announced that it officially opened a new state-of-the-art research and development lab in Radnor, PA to house over 35 employees on March 2, 2023. This investment is in addition to West’s $400 million in global expansion efforts, and will support the company’s capability enhancements in chemistry, material sciences, and biology, while meeting the growing needs of its products and services to support complex sensitive molecules and the changing regulatory environment.

West’s new research and development lab allows us to bring our one hundred years of scientific and technical expertise together so we can continue to define what is possible in improving patients’ health,” said Anya Harry, M.D., Ph.D., Vice President of R&D and Chief Medical Officer/Applied Research. “The lab is an essential part of West’s overall growth to better support our customers, our growing partnerships, and find new ways to conduct our research.”
West’s Research and Development lab at Radnor is a direct response to its strategic focus on the delivery of advanced therapy and new therapeutic experiences across containment and systems. West innovators at this site will work side-by-side to create novel technologies to enhance products that solve challenges in the safe and thoughtful delivery of life-saving medicines to patients around the globe.
