WEST GROVE, PA — LCH Health and Community Services (LCH) announced $38,747 in funding from the Delta Dental Community Care Foundation through its Access to Care Grants Program, which is intended to increase and safeguard access to quality, affordable oral health care. The program is offered across the 15 states and Washington, D.C. where Delta Dental of California operates. Since 2011, the Community Care Foundation has granted more than $130 million.
The Community Care Foundation funds local community partners to increase access to care, address health disparities, drive health equity and promote innovation in the oral health field. The grants enable its nonprofit partners, which include Federally Qualified Health Centers, to provide vital and beneficial services to those most in need in the communities they serve. “LCH is excited to upgrade our dental records system and enhance patient experiences during this 50th year of service with the support of Delta Dental Community Care Foundation”, said LCH Dentist, Dr. Chioma Onyeri.
Through these grants, LCH will significantly impact the lives of many community members, by expanding their Community Health Screenings to include dental services. Kate Wickersham, LCH Director of Development said, “Our Community Health Screenings break down barriers to care like transportation, language, and childcare, by bringing healthcare – and now dental services – out into the community. We are meeting people where they are, including local employers and our partner community service organizations.”
