PHOENIXVILLE, PA — Jessica Capistrant, President and CEO of the Phoenixville Regional Chamber of Commerce, is two steps closer to completing her IOM with the Institute for Organization Management. Recently completing her now second year at the Institute for Organization Management, a four-part, 96-credit-hour, nonprofit leadership training program offered by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation, Jessica has taken another step in developing herself as an effective leader within the business community.

Jessica will complete courses this summer at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, University of Georgia in Athens, and at Villanova University. Jessica completes her final session and earns her IOM designation in Tuscon and will graduate from the University of Arizona. This is a very prestigious achievement as Institute graduates are recognized across the country as leaders in their industries and organizations.

Raymond P. Towle, IOM, CAE, the U.S. Chamber’s vice president of the Institute for Organization Management stated, “These individuals have the knowledge, skills, and dedication necessary to achieve professional and organizational success in the dynamic association and chamber industries.” Upon completion of these courses, Jessica will be one step closer to her goal of being a successful leader.

The Institute is a program that was created to educate nonprofit leaders on how to build stronger organizations and better serve their members. Since its commencement in 1921, the Institute has been educating tens of thousands of nonprofit leaders. The curriculum for the Institute consists of four weeklong sessions at four different university locations throughout the country. Through a combination of required courses and electives in areas such as leadership, advocacy, marketing, finance, and membership, Institute participants are able to enhance their own organizational management skills and add new fuel to their organizations. As a result, participants are able to make their organizations run more efficiently and effectively.
