EXTON, PA — Energage, a purpose-driven company that turns employee feedback into business intelligence that organizations can use to improve culture and earn authentic recognition, recently announced the expansion of its Top Workplaces program.
Now, organizations with a minimum of 150 U.S. employees qualify for national-level recognition, including Top Workplaces USA, industry, and culture excellence awards, in addition to participation in up to 51 high-profile regional programs. Results are based solely on anonymous employee feedback captured by a single, five-minute employee engagement survey.
“The legitimacy that regional Top Workplaces brings, helps us recruit the right talent for our organization and attracts new customers to our restaurants,” said Kayo Asakura-Mendoza, program manager, human resources for Panda Restaurant Group.
“By adding national recognition with Top Workplaces USA, all of our locations can now benefit from this recognition too, and that’s exciting.”
Research shows that organizations with highly engaged employees have higher customer satisfaction ratings, giving them a sustainable competitive advantage. Energage research—released last June—shows the time is right for organizations to prioritize a people-centered culture, as employee engagement levels are now at an all-time high.
“Employers across the board, are now more dialed-in to their employees than ever before,” said Lisa Sordilla, vice president of human resources for Energage.
“Being able to showcase that you have a people-centered workplace culture is quickly moving up the C-suite priority list, as employees, customers, investors and other stakeholders are becoming more selective about whom they work for and with.
“We are thrilled to be able to build on an already highly respected recognition program, Top Workplaces, to help organizations further support their culture efforts so they can recruit and retain the right people to drive their business forward and provide their employees with a voice in this new work environment.”
Nominations for Top Workplaces USA 2021 are now being accepted. Winners will be determined using the same criteria as the regional Top Workplaces awards, comparing their results across one employee engagement survey comprised of research-based statements, including 15 Culture Drivers that are proven to predict a high-performance culture.
Awards beyond Top Workplaces USA will be announced throughout the year and will focus on key industries and timely culture categories, such as Top Workplaces for Women, Millennials, Remote Working, Clued-In Leaders, and more. Lists of winners will begin being announced in January 2021.
“It is extremely important that we stand out as a Top Workplace to showcase how we have prioritized our people during this incredibly challenging time when they are looking for a place to build their career,” explained Michelle Bauer, vice president of corporate communications at Power Home Remodeling.
“And, given the demands on resources, especially now, we are even more mindful of survey fatigue. So, being able to issue one engagement survey that allows us to qualify for multiple awards is critical.”
