MALVERN, PA — Cantaloupe, Inc. (NASDAQ: CTLP), a leading provider of digital payments and software services, is making strides in its expansion across Latin America, using its self-service technology and management software for micro markets. The company’s collaboration with Feel Good Market, based in Panama City, Panama, signals an exciting shift in the self-service retail landscape in the region.
Feel Good Market was first to bring Cantaloupe’s micro market technology to Panama, and the concept has been enthusiastically embraced by local consumers. Rogelio Morando, Vice President and General Manager of Cantaloupe Latin America, expressed excitement at the positive reception of the micro market concept, which offers customers a broader range of options than traditional vending.
Feel Good Market, a client of Cantaloupe since 2021, identified the limitations of traditional vending machines in Panama, which often accept only coins and bills and offer a limited product range. In response, they introduced a modern solution with credit/debit card acceptance and a wider variety of food and beverage options, transforming workplace snacking experiences. Today, Feel Good Market operates 28 micro markets, with plans to expand to 30 by year-end.
The success of this partnership lies in its innovative approach to meeting market needs. Feel Good Market, backed by Cantaloupe’s support, offers a cashless solution that serves around 7,000 customers daily and generates two to three times the revenue of a conventional vending setup at any location, demonstrating the potential of micro markets in the region.
Aldo Tejada, founder of Feel Good Market, noted that the shift to micro markets allowed them to provide a modern solution that not only offered convenient and user-friendly technology but enabled customization of each market to meet unique client needs.
Cantaloupe will be showcasing its self-service products and services in Latin America at a Cantaloupe LIVE event in Mexico on December 5, 2023. Retail operators, vending providers, and others interested in micro markets and Cantaloupe’s innovative self-service solutions are encouraged to attend.
