Salim Ramji Takes Helm as Vanguard’s New CEO

VALLEY FORGE, PAVanguard announced that Salim Ramji has taken over as the new chief executive officer as of July 8, 2024. Ramji also joined Vanguard’s Board of Directors, completing a planned transition first announced on May 14, 2024. He succeeds Tim Buckley, who retires after more than 30 years with the firm, including a successful stint as chairman and CEO.

In addition to Ramji’s appointment, Greg Davis has joined Vanguard’s Board of Directors. Mark Loughridge, previously Vanguard’s Lead Independent Director, has taken on the role of nonexecutive Chairman of the Board.
