WEST GROVE, PA — Melanie Weiler joined the YMCA of Greater Brandywine team in November 2021 as the executive director of the Jennersville YMCA located in West Grove, PA.
Weiler began her career with the YMCA in 1993, serving in several leadership roles throughout the organization. She then went on to work with other nonprofits throughout Chester County, most notably in the areas of poverty alleviation, food insecurity and homeless prevention programs as well as collective impact initiatives.
Returning to West Grove and the Jennersville YMCA, Weiler states she is looking forward to strengthening relationships and connecting the community to resources that build personal wellness and long-term community resiliency.
“We have a fantastic community of members, staff and volunteers at the Jennersville Y. I’m excited to work with the team to assess our community needs and build programming that is accessible and welcoming to all,” Weiler says.
As executive director for the Jennersville YMCA, she will put her experiences into action to support and grow programming as well as build relationships with community partners throughout southern Chester County.
The Jennersville YMCA currently offers a wide variety of programming including a childcare and early learning center, summer camps, swimming lessons, pickleball and an array of in-person and virtual group exercise classes for the community.
The Jennersville YMCA is one of eight locations of the YMCA of Greater Brandywine. To learn more about program offerings or membership opportunities, please visit ymcagbw.org.
