WAYNE, PA — As the New Year dawns, many of us are eager to shake off the old and embrace the new. To capitalize on this universal sentiment for renewal, the National Association of Productivity and Organizing Professionals (NAPO) has declared January as the annual “Get Organized” or “GO” month. This initiative is designed to inspire and educate individuals about the transformative power of organization, offering a fresh perspective on productivity just when resolutions are taking root.
Darla DeMorrow, Certified Professional Organizer®, author, and owner of HeartWork Organizing, is one of the leading voices championing the cause of “Get Organized” month. A seasoned member of NAPO, DeMorrow has earned recognition for her practical and accessible advice on organizing, which she shares through daily articles.
According to DeMorrow, “Daily prompts help people make changes that stick. A daily dose of productivity strategies or organizing prompts via email can be very motivating. Just like having a personal trainer at the gym improves physical health, hiring a professional organizer or following along with daily organizing reminders helps people improve their mental health, home environment and work life, too.”
In honor of “Get Organized” month, HeartWork Organizing is offering a variety of resources. The first is a series of free daily emails throughout January, providing motivation and tips to help individuals integrate organization into their daily routines, spanning both their physical and digital lives.
In addition, starting on January 9, HeartWork Organizing will offer “Filing Freedom and Paper Solutions,” a live virtual class. This interactive format allows attendees from across the nation to engage with each other and participate in hands-on exercises designed to tackle paper clutter once and for all. “Get Organized” month presents an excellent opportunity for everyone, whether you’re a productivity professional or someone simply looking to get a handle on the chaos. By joining this initiative, you can start the New Year off right, armed with practical strategies and a supportive community, ready to transform your work and home life through organization.
