MALVERN, PA — Cybersecurity, encryption, election interference and data breaches. These are the issues facing municipalities as well as the region’s top tech companies, IT professionals and innovators as they gather for the Philly burbs’ premier regional tech conference at TECH360 on November 6, 2019.
Now TECH360 is announcing its featured keynote speakers, Angel Montesdeoca and Jessica ‘Zhanna’ Malekos Smith, J.D.
“This is an ideal way for IT professionals, project leaders and technology leaders to gain unbiased, innovative insights that can be used immediately. It’s also a wonderful opportunity to make local connections with the area’s top names in tech,” says Gary Smith, president of the Chester County Economic Development Council, which is presenting TECH360 in collaboration with its Innovative Technology Action Group (ITAG).
Opening the afternoon sessions, Montesdeoca will address artificial intelligence, its opportunities and challenges, and how it can be easily infused into business. Malekos Smith will present her highly-rated presentation entitled The Cyberlous Mrs. Maisel: A Comedic (and Slightly Terrifying) Introduction to Information Warfare to close the day.
Montesdeoca is a Lead Product Manager for IBM’s Artificial Intelligence division, Watson AI and Chairman of IBM’s Generation Next. Previously, he was the CEO & Founder of Leaders Working, an EdTech company acquired by Bloomberg. He has also worked in Venture Capital, investing and scaling SaaS and NextGen commerce companies before heading West to build and take to market products at Facebook and Google. Angel graduated from Columbia University summa cum laude with a degree in History and Mathematics.
Malekos Smith is the Reuben Everett Cyber Scholar at Duke University Law School. Previously, she served as a Captain in the U.S. Air Force Judge Advocate General’s Corps. Prior to military service, Zhanna was a post-doctoral fellow at the Belfer Center’s Cyber Security Project at the Harvard Kennedy School. She has presented her research at DEF CON, RSA, and ShmooCon, among others. Malekos Smith’s presentation at DEF CON 2019, one of the world’s largest and most notable hacker conventions, was praised as one of the best talks of the conference!
