WEST CHESTER, PA — Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Fox & Roach, REALTORS® sales professionals, the Spangler Manners Team recently hosted their first annual charity golf outing, the Garnet Valley Open, at the Concord Country Club.
The team raised $5,471 to benefit the Garnet Valley community, where co-team lead Brian Spangler grew up and went to school. This year’s scholarship winner, Natalie Maddren, is a rising senior at Garnet Valley High School. In 40 applicants for the scholarship, Maddren’s application stood out for being the most creative. Her submission featured a webpage with a written piece about what home means to her, along with a collage of photos of her with her family, friends and home. There were 76 golfers who came out to play and support the community.
“The first Garnet Valley Open was a huge success! We cannot thank everyone enough for coming out to support this amazing new scholarship for Garnet Valley students. A special thank you to Concord Country Club for organizing the whole day, to Stephen Rinaldi for co-hosting the event with us and to Joe Skelley for being this year’s top sponsor,” says Spangler. “Thank you to all of the golfers that participated in the event – it was an unforgettable experience for everyone involved and we are looking forward to next year,” he continues.
