Authorities Seek Help Identifying Victim of Fatal Crash

KENNETT SQUARE, PA — The Kennett Township Police Department announced that on Thursday, April 22, 2021, at 1:12 a.m. Officers responded to the 1000 block of East Baltimore Pike for a single-vehicle accident.

Authorities state that the preliminary investigation indicates that a vehicle, traveling westbound on East Baltimore Pike, left the roadway and struck the overpass at a high rate of speed. The vehicle caught fire upon impact. Longwood Fire Company responded to the scene and extinguished the fire. One occupant was located in the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.

Police are still working to identify the victim and cause of the crash. Anyone who has information about the crash is urged to call the Kennett Township Police at 610-388-2874.
