Aqua Invests $2.1 Million in Chester County Infrastructure

WEST GOSHEN TWP, PA — Aqua Pennsylvania announced it has invested $2.1 million in main replacement projects in West Goshen Township. This investment is part of Aqua’s continuing infrastructure improvement program to improve reliability for customers throughout Chester County.

Crews recently began working on a $1.2 million project to replace 4,700 feet of aging 8-inch cement pipe with new 8-inch ductile iron water main on the following streets:

  • Todd Way between North New Street and Susan Drive
  • Susan Drive between #1148 and the end of the cul-de-sac
  • Susan Drive between North New Street and Tree Lane
  • Tree Lane between Susan and Longview drives
  • Longview Drive between #1022 and Tree Lane

Aqua’s work is expected to be completed in December, weather permitting. Final road restoration is expected to be completed in spring 2023.

Crews recently finished a $955,000 project to replace 3,900 feet of aging 6-inch cement pipe with new 8-inch ductile iron water main on the following streets:

  • Carlson Avenue between South Concord Road and Maule Lane
  • Amelia Drive between South Concord Road and Pine Valley Circle
  • Pine Valley Circle between Carlson Avenue and the end of the cul-de-sac
  • Emily Circle between Amelia Drive and the end of the cul-de-sac

Final road restoration is expected to be completed this fall.

The new water mains will reduce the potential for main breaks and discolored water and improve water flow in the area.
