WEST CHESTER, PA — It will be a first for the Philadelphia area — a bridal shop where customers can buy designer wedding gowns and adult toys all in one place!
Ever After Bridal is a boutique bridal shop in downtown West Chester, PA that caters to brides of various shapes, styles, and budgets — with a salacious twist. The 700-square-foot store carries gorgeous wedding gowns on the main floor, but the lower level is a tasteful adult shop. “Our philosophy is that we want women to feel comfortable, confident, and empowered by the body they have been blessed with, and we’re excited to offer a little something extra if they choose to push the proverbial envelope!” explained the owner Andrea Olazagasti.
“My initial thought was to turn the basement into a Mother of the Bride/Groom area – a small extension of the main shop, but my husband JT Hearn (co-owner of Roots Café) suggested doing lingerie and wedding night accessories,” said Olazagasti. “We then found a few designers that we adore for this ‘annex,’ and then neither one of us could stop smiling while browsing through our inventory options. We offer everything from modest satin sleepwear to celebratory wedding night lingerie and everything in between, including (gasp) toys for the bedroom! Our options aren’t just limited to brides either, as we cater to all women no matter their relationship status.”
Andrea, a newlywed herself, married JT in August of 2021. “I bought my wedding dress here and it was one of the happiest days of my life. Everything about the experience was amazing – from learning about the intricacies of the dresses and the different types of lace and tulle – so interesting that I decided to help out at the store part-time.” The 32-year-old took the plunge and eventually bought the store (previously called OZ Bridal) from a family member this past June, while still keeping her “day job” as a dental assistant.
Ever After carries a large selection of American and European designers that range in price from $2,000 to 3,000. These include Sincerity Bridal by Justin Alexander; Libelle; Anna Kara; and a PA exclusive on one of the most coveted bridal dress lines — Liv by Kelly Faetanini, a New York-based designer who turns out incredibly stylish designs at an attainable price.
Olazagasti’s goal is to take the stress out of the process and help brides-to-be feel at home. Since it’s by appointment only, a bride will have the whole store to themselves (without a fee) when they shop. “Whenever a bride walks in, I really want to make sure she feels comfortable. It can be a vulnerable, nerve-wracking time, but I’m here to support them.”
Walk-in hours at Ever After Bridal are Thursdays and Fridays starting at 2:30 p.m. and by appointment the rest of the week. The store is located at 124 W. Market Street in West Chester.
