Unionville Student Achieves Eagle Scout Rank

CHADDS FORD, PA — Spero Demetri Ferentinos was awarded the highest honor from the Boy Scouts of America; Eagle Scout. A ceremony was held on October 17, 2022, at Troop 31’s Court of Honor in Chadds Ford. Troop 31 is of the Lenni Lenape District of the BSA Chester County Council.

Spero’s Eagle Scout service project was completed at the Kennett Square YMCA. For them, raised funds, designed, constructed, and filled with soil, five cedar garden beds to be used by the Montessori school for organic gardening.

Spero is a senior in the class of 2023 at Unionville High School. During his four years, he has been on the UHS Football team, UHS Swim team, and the UHS Lacrosse team. He plays URA basketball and is a member of the National Honor Society. Spero has been working as a lifeguard for the last 3 summers. Spero looks forward to attending college and majoring in computer science in the fall of 2023.
