Each year, millions of older Americans are targeted with some type of financial fraud or confidence scheme, racking up more than $3 billion in losses. These scams can take place online, on the phone, or even in person.
Special Agent Ken Campbell of the FBI’s Philadelphia office is giving an educational presentation, “How Do Criminals Target Seniors,” at three SageLife senior living communities: Plush Mills in Wallingford, Pa. on February 22 at 10:30 a.m.; Echo Lake in Malvern, Pa. on February 22 at 2 p.m.; and The 501 at Mattison Estate in Ambler, Pa. on March 1 at 1 p.m. Members of the public are invited to attend, though reservations are required.

Attendees will learn how they can protect themselves or their loved ones against attack. Special Agent Campbell will provide real-life examples of scams and will show how to identify the various fraud schemes. Attendees are encouraged to bring questions.
